Adjusted the leg a tad, thanks for the catch.

I'll probably let the look stand for now and keep the current Wetdown image. I'm not too keen on revisiting either character (they're not too high on my llst of characters that I feel "need" any particular updates one way or another -- sorry any Mariner or Wetdown fans out there).

I think he was supposed to be a SEAL. He never really got any lines or personality in the comics, IIRC. For all intents and purposes, he was just a greenshirt who happened to have been given a name.

I think female figures were never a big priority with Hasbro when it came to GI Joe. It's part of their "Boys' Toys" division after all. They'd probably all come out freakishly proportioned anyway (I remember the VvV-era figures having "gorilla arms"). Still, it would have been nice to see a 3-3/4" Mayday figure (she got shafted as part of the mid-1990s GI Joe Extreme line as well, the line was canceled before
the toy
could hit retail) and they should have really just used the Firewall code-name for "female Dial-Tone" (it's a more relevant term these days, at least... I bet most of the guys working at Hasbro these days haven't even heard an actual dial-tone -- that is, the tone associated with rotary phones -- outside of old movies and TV shows). As far as female characters I want to see a figure made of, I'd probably want to see a Pythona figure down the line, not because I had any real affection for the character, but it just struck me as odd that such a prominent character never got a plastic representation (between her and Zarana in a two-piece swimsuit though,
GI Joe: The Movie
pretty much kick-started my puberty
, and ironically, set me on the path of ignoring toys in favour of girls ha ha)

I remember those. I've got something similar going on with the version of the document I'm working on, but using generic silhouettes as opposed to miniaturised images of the characters... the generic silhouettes work better because I'm not using "named" characters for all positions in the organization, and it makes for a more consistent look all around.
