This may have been said publicly at one of Hasbro's presentations? (I didn't attend them all) But what I'm referring to was not a public announcement, it was a small discussion with Neil. In it, he said that the 25th line would only consist of re-makes of well recognized ARAH characters. In using the time-tested characters, they first needed to see if the whole 25th approach would be successful (which is has been).
Due to the success of the launch, after the 25th line/moniker is ended, they'll be considering opening their perspective to other characters.
What you've heard and what I've heard pretty much seem to be similar & corresponding, though not exact with details. But I think we're in agreement with the overall jist of Hasbro's intent.
Bottom line is the 25th line is a success, and because of this success this frees-up Hasbro to venture off into untreaded waters, with respect to never produced characters.
