Ah, got my Breakers mixed up. Edited my post to reflect that information.

Yeah, I figured that was his most identifiable trait. Funny thing, I'd never really taken the time to read Space Shot's filecard before. He reads like a character out of 1981's
Heavy Metal
animated feature.

Using an existing name is always the best option and the design looks really nice. His gear makes me really curious as to how you're going to use him, especially since what you had planned for "Flatfoot" seems to be changed.
I've got him slotted in as a command post systems specialist (which is sort of a nod to the original Sneak Peek's secondary MOS as an RTO, and hence the prominent combat net radio combination receiver/transmitter/handle on his left backpack strap). Of course, similar to how I'm defining the training of many of the combat support/combat service support Joes, I also have him cross-qualified as an airborne infantryman.

Ah, just noticed the fat trigger finger. Will change it soon as I can.

Glad you like my take on him. I found Said Taghmaoui's Breaker to be one of the better performances in RoC, but I think he was already facing an uphill battle with many of the fans given that his character's design was something of a departure from expectations. As for the eye-piece, it's the one used in the film... it was a concession I made to the film design to make him distinctly identifiable as being a concept descended from the movie Breaker. I'm still on the fence with the eye-piece, actually. I think it looks similar enough to any number of real-world head-mounted IR cameras that it doesn't conflict with my overall concept of outfitting the Joes with real-world gear and weapons, but I'm not sure about it looking at it again. I might go back and replace it with something more suitably contemporary.

I do think you should get that green sweater back on him to visually tie him back into the other O-13 members as well as distancing him from the other communications guys you've designed.
I've been toying with the idea of replacing the "green commando sweater" with the
light multicam shirt
. I'd already started doing so with Stalker, and Breaker is the second member of the be-sweatered Original 13 (outside of Scarlett) that I've done up in the multicam shirt.

Ah, I knew something was bothering me about that image. Will adjust it as time allows.
Oh, and as for the bubblegum, I tried it in an earlier version of the image, but I had difficulty making it work. I think it's because a soldier blowing a bubble is such an unusual visual, that the fact that it's what he's actually doing takes time to register (and I'm a Joe fan! I think somebody unfamiliar with the comic book Breaker's bubblegum-chewing habit would have even a more difficult time making out what it is on his mouth without some textual explanation).

Yeah, that's something Spigou mentioned to me in conversation, and I agree with him, she looks much improved with the ponytail.

Heh, you know it. It'll be much later in my work cycle, though. I plan on finishing all the combat support/combat service support guys first since I find them the most challenging to do (hard to get inspired to work on supply guys and radio operators for the umpteenth time), so I can focus on re-doing and colour-correcting the combat guys, which are my (and I suspect, most everybody's) favourite aspect of the Joe team.
