He is studying structural and chemical engineering, because he wants to know everything he can about hte weapons he uses or are used against him, and about structures he might be called upon to attack or protect.

Blowtorch was made using the parts from two figures - The body from the 25th Anniversary Arctic Snake Eyes and the head, arms, legs and feet from the 25th Anniversary release of Blowtorch. Blowtorch was released as part of the third wave of Pursuit of Cobra figures.

Blowtorch came with a green flamethrower, a black rifle, two green mines, a silver cord, a red and silver axe, a yellow helmet, a red and yellow chestplate, a green and blue facemask, a red and silver tank, a yellow and silver backpack, a yellow panel, and a black display stand.

A chase version of Blowtorch was shown by Hasbro that featured the original artist concept colors of the figure (green and beige). The figure was shown along side a Red (almost Python Patrol like) Croc Master. Both were to be released as part of the Pursuit of Cobra line, but unfortunately never made it to retail.

G.I.Joe is the code name for a special operations unit of highly trained men and women. Their purpose is to defend the world against COBRA, a ruthless organization with criminal tentacles in every nation on earth.
